Our Goal

Our goal is to provide information, in-depth and diverse perspectives from the students and families who withstood the challenges of social injustices in such an unpopular era. The Hoxie21 students and their families believe that the answers to many of today’s problems concerning our school children are found in our history. It is also our belief that “living images of history,” along with supportive documentation, sharing of photos, personal reflections and narratives will cultivate interest by stepping out of the models of text books. The students’ stories and families have yet to be captured. The complexities of the unbench-marked success in Hoxie are ripe with untold nuances and are a part of American history.
